Here we are in our new space on the day of the lease signing, (l-r, Ruthie, Robin, Laurie, Tori, Rose). We couldn’t keep the grins off of our faces! Now a busy week lies ahead of us with cleaning and painting the front of the space, and deciding what building to do in the back. Laurie is hosting two art openings in the meantime, including artwork by my good friend Adriana Phillips. She is showing her “Loopholes” series at 108 Occidental Gallery with the opening reception on Thursday, from 6-9pm. I’ll be sure to be there.

Hats for sale!

Oh my goodness! we just signed the lease on the Gossamer studio! I can’t believe it! I feel so lucky to get to be a part of such a wonderful group, what motivating inspiring force.

Also, I just gave Anna Banana my best batch of hats ever to sell at Pretty Parlor! Go get ‘em while they’re hot! Cute bill caps for gents’ and adorable cloche styled hats with ribbons and buttons for gals.

I spent some time working on the patterns, and I really love the shapes that I discovered. If you do make it to the Parlor to try them on, send me an e-mail and let me know what you think. Also, I made a small assortment of sizes and colors, so if you don’t see something that you love or that fits you quite right, (or you live to far away to go to Pretty Parlor) but you’d really like an RU hat, send me an e-mail. Collaboration with friends and family is what helps to create what I love the most!
