Here we go, I am actually going in to business with Gossamer! We now have our first location, and we will soon be an official partnership. We are planning to become a non-profit organization. If you are interested in helping us get started and want to make a contribution of any amount, I’m posting this graph to make it easy for you, and also to keep track of the support we raise.
If you haven’t read this from our Gossamer Collective website, or in an earlier post here on my RU blog, this is a really good description of who we are:
Gossamer is a group of five Seattle-based artists (a photographer, a painter, a musician, a curator, and a fashion designer) who are interested in creating beauty, inspiring audiences, and empowering other artists. Gossamer is a vehicle for any kind of art that is authentic, courageous, and expressive. All from different artistic backgrounds, the members of Gossamer join forces to conjure and complete various projects from fashion shows to multi-media events. Gossamer produces vibrant and innovative displays from scratch. It delights in putting astounding dreams to practice and fulfilling the unimaginable. Gossamer unites and enriches the lives of artists and musicians worldwide by providing them with performance and show ideas and opportunities.

Here is cute baby Néli, playing in her new RU. The sun is shining outside, and I am trying to keep myself in so that I can make progress on my new designs for spring. A cotton shirt-dress is in the making! Also, very exciting this spring, it is finally official, Gossamer will move in to our new space during the first weeks of May!! We’re back from our road-trip vacation, and it was great!! Cute babies, brothers and sisters, good friends, Grammy, giant trees, cabin, ocean views, city lights, shopping, fabric, amazing food, (House of Nanking, yeah!), beaches, podcasts, good music, wake surfing? house boat, sunshine!!! And then the sun was shining in Seattle when we rolled in! What a treat!! Now that I’m home, and I’m really home for a bit, with nothing to do but design my spring line of clothing and get ready to move in to my new studio with Gossamer!! I have a skirt prototype, and am currently working on a jacket. I have hopes to finish a shirt-dress design and pants to kick off production with by the end of the month. The only thing distracting me is this give away bag of old western shirts that I don’t wear anymore, but still love the fabric. hmmm……..
